I've been hard at work over the holiday weekend restoring these old KILR FM: Radio 1990 promo tapes. I now have Volume 3 #3, #4, and #5 restored. From Volume 3 #1 to Volume 4 #2, this covers a good portion of 1984 into the first half of 1985 of the old radio station.
Here are the dates the shows will be airing:
Volume 3 #1 on 7/30
Volume 3 #2 on 8/6 (Rocktober 84)
Volume 3 #3 on 8/13
Volume 3 #4 on 8/20 (Christmas Time 84)
Volume 3 #5 on 8/27 (New Year's Rock 'n Roll Ball 84-85)
Volume 3 #6 on 9/3
Volume 4 #1 on 9/10 (The First Anniversary special)
Volume 4 #2 on 9/17
I found some tapes from the early 90's of KILR FM, but they don't sound very good from the damage done to the station. It'll take time to clean those up. I hope to get some more restored from Volume 4 and also from Volumes 1 and 2.
